  • "The Hunt": Dive Bar

"The Hunt" Dive Bar: - Pool, Darts
This business is not exactly clean, but it is what you would expect a dive bar to feel like. It's cramped, it's loud, and it's lively. Beware the things you may see, hear, taste, and smell when visiting "The Hunt".

This is a wolf owned business, and is considered Wolf Territory which means vampires will not be welcome here. Humans, Witches, Warlocks, and Wolves are welcome patrons.

  • "Desolations Edge": Cliffs

These beautiful cliffs run along Abyss Lakes edge and while stunning, can be quite dangerous. In the summer, there are 1-2 mile hiking trails that take you to a lookout point, which is also accessible via vehicle. Camping and hiking beyond the trails here is against the law as the land is actually owned by a private owner. Trespassing beyond the set trails and lookout point is not allowed.

This is Wolf Territory, and it is the local pack that owns this steep, thick, stunning forest territory. Deep up the mountains edge the wolf den is tucked into a small valley, which is accessible by a narrow and sometimes frighteningly steep dirt road. There is a gate close to the beginning of this long road, which should deter visitors. For those it doesn't deter, beware.

  • "St. Paul Memorial": Cemetery

Sitting beyond the edge of town, but still technically within Westbrooks borders is the St. Paul Memorial Cemetery. It's isolated, only accompanied by a small catholic church that has long since been abandoned. Many generations have been buried here. And a particularly old portion of the Cemetery dates all the way back to the establishment of Abyss Valley!

This is Witch and Warlock Territory. While not witch or warlock owned, it is still technically within their domain, so wolves should tread with caution.

North Beach Residential Neighborhood: - Busy, Downtown
Most of the homes within North Beach won't possess yards, and if they do, they definitely won't be large. Cramped living is common here, and often without the luxury of a personal garage, meaning parking might be a frequent problem. However, the North King Townhouses have an unobstructed view of Abyss Lake!

"Uncommon Grounds" Cafe: - Coffee, Baked Goods, Indoor & Outdoor Seating, Lake View
Uncommon Grounds is clean, but old. The furniture is mismatched and worn. But despite it's aging furniture and peeling wallpaper, it has a certain charm that calls people back. Plus the coffee here is phenomenal, which is definitely a perk.

This is human territory, and neutral ground! All species are welcome. Enjoy your coffee.

  • "Abyss Landing": Docks

Abyss Landing Docks are home to many boats, big and small. There is even a ferry that takes a tour around the lake, where a guide talks of Abyss Valley's history. This will set you back twenty-dollars, and of course, is non-refundable. There is also a large platform that sits over the beach, and here you'll find games, fair food, and a couple rides, which is entirely limited to a ferris wheel and carousel. While limited in entertainment, may festivals and events are held on this platform and along the beach.

This is human territory, and neutral ground! All species are welcome!

  • "Whisper Woods": Forest

This vast, sprawling forest completely surrounds the town, and Abyss Lake, and stretches for miles. You may come across a cabin or two, usually connected to a paved or dirt road, but much of this forest is untouched by structures or vehicles, making it the ideal location for supernaturals and hunters alike.

This is neutral ground. All are welcome.

  • "Isolated Run": River

Isolated Run is a fast running river that curves around the outer edge of Redwood District, cutting through the thick Whisper Woods as it carves it's path towards the ocean. There are a couple cabin rentals along this river, however most of the river is isolated, and with good reason. The waters of Isolated Run are deceivingly fast, and at some points, incredibly deep and narrow. Many have died attempting to cross the river and falling into it's deep and rapid moving waters.

This is neutral ground. All are welcome.
